Lahti Historic Rally was first driven in 2002, although it wasn't until the next year when the event first time debuted in the FIA European Historic Sporting Rally Championship. Traditionally the event has also been supplemented with a national rally event, this year known as the AD Varaosaexpert Rally, which is also open to international drivers with cars following the Finnish technical regulations. The Lahti Historic Rally will open with the traditional ceremonial start at the Lahti harbour and the same beautiful lake-side venue will also host the end of the rally celebrations and price giving. 68 competitors to Lahti Historic Rally, 85 competitors to Lammi-ralli
International Lahti Historic Rally got 68 competitors from 12 different country. Champion of 2017 "Lucky", former champion Valter Christian Jensen, always fast Giuliano "Lupo" Calzolari, last year winner Mika Turkki and many many super fast drivers. National Lammi-ralli got 85 competitors, drivers from young upcoming talents to older seniors, cars from stocker to newest R5 cars. Assortment is large, and that is fantastic for spectators. 2 days noting choice took 16 drivers, so there is 69 drivers to saturdays competition without notes. 17th Lahti Historic Rally will be driven in Fri 10th and Sat 11th of August, 2018. Great Rally HQ ( Lahti Hall), beautiful starting and finish area at Lahti Harbour will create wonderful atmosphere for this rally. FIA European Historic Sporting Rally Championship will bring competitors to Lahti from several countries of Europe. This years route is going to west of Lahti. About 40km`s of Lahti, there is a village called Lammi. Daytime service areas of Friday and Saturday will be at Lammi, evening service of Friday is in the yard of Rally HQ. Lahti Historic Rally 2018, 5th of the season 2018 and the one and only on gravel. Route will be partly new. 12 special stages ( 6 different stage will be driven twice). 150 kilometres of always good conditions fast enjoyable roads, tighten curves to opens, smooth sideways, lighten small hills and of course there is also some bigger jumps.
