Rallying history will be made in Lahti in August

The international Lahti Historic Rally has been organised annually in Lahti since 2002, excluding in 2020, when the international event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and only the national Top Building Rally took place. This year the organising of the international event has been progressing normally with hopes of a more traditional version of Lahti Historic Rally to take place in August. Lahti Historic Rally organizer hosts the national Top Building Rally (NEAFP) on August 15th

Rallying will once again take place in Lahti, or actually in Lammi this summer, as the Lahti Historic Rally organizer hosts the national Top Building Rally on August 15th! The rally will consist of 84 kilometres of special stages split into two identical loops of three stages near by Lammi. The organizer has made sure almost any competitor can enter the event, as a myriad of classes are provided allowing even international participants. Naturally the rally will follow all guidance and ruling by the local sporting and legal authorities in respect to the COVID-19 situation, including limiting close contacts between personnel in all parts of the event. Lahti Historic Rally 2020 cancelled

Winners 2019 Esa Peltonen-Jyrki Saarto / Toyota Starlet 1300 Lahti Historic Rally, the Finnish round of the FIA European Historic Sporting Rally Championship scheduled to take place in August has been cancelled due to the global COVID-19 situation and the resulting traveling restrictions that would have made it difficult if not impossible for the international competitors to arrive in Finland. So far most of the events in the FIA EHS Rally Championship of 2020 have either been cancelled or postponed, with only the rallies in Italy and Switzerland later in the autumn maintaining their dates.
